Penguin Rescue Device...Patent Pending

'No I wasn't saying it was a bad idea,' mooed Norma, 'I was just saying that the commercial openings for an emergency penguin rescue ladder might be a bit limited.' 'A 'biodegradable' emergency penguin rescue ladder,' corrected Annie. 'Of course,' replied Norma, 'but I still think it might be best to hold off from full scale production until you've more thoroughly tested the market.' 'Hmm,' said Annie, 'perhaps you're right. Anyway, I probably wouldn't have enough time to run a large multinational and be a teacher at the same time.' 'I suspect it would have to be one or the other,' replied Norma. 'Unless I taught the minimoos how to make them. Ms Camille said that you can do that sort of thing and pass it off as some kind of after school club.' 'I'm not sure that would be legal,' replied Norma. 'Perhaps I should ask my lawyer?' said Annie. 'You do know Cyril ...

Just me

Hello everyone It's just me today. I thought it might be nice to have a little chat. So how are you all? I have to say it's nice to be home at last, although suddenly it appears to be winter and christmas is only just around the corner...a very small corner. So I hope you're all wrapping up nice and warm and having lots of hot drinks. And what about the weekend? Are you doing anything nice? I need to find Annie and Geraldine but after that I hope to find time to put my hooves up and relax. Perhaps I'll try and find somewhere quite and have a little 'me time'. Well take care and hugs to you all. Norma PS We'll be back on Monday

An update from Annie

Helloooooooooooooooo! Norma (my best friend) once told me that pengimings can't fly. Sometimes Norma knows nothing! This is clearly being proven at the moment because Geraldine (top pengiming) is quite clearly having a good old fly right this very minute! Which means I'm having to have a good old run. Hopefully she'll decide to come down soon because my legs are getting shorter and shorter and are now in danger of being worn completely away. I wouldn't like that. Anyway, I'd best get going, who knows where it will all end. Clearly I mean that in a rescuing Geraldine type context and not in a wider, philosophical, deep thinking type sense. That sort of thinking can cause no end of problems and ruin several good breakfasts. Laters Annie PS I have decided to do something new and important...but you'll have to wait to find out what it is! : )

well there's a surprise!

Morning everyone! Oh look, it seems as if Norma and myself have been left to sort things out! Who'd have thought that that would happen? Still, step forward the ladies who launch! Now I realise that it looks as if all I'm doing is collecting a very large sack of grass....possibly because that's what I am doing...but all will become clear! Both to you and to our lovely Captain...how do we manage without him?* Right, on with the day! Do try to sit up straight if you're working at a desk. Bertha *Yes, that's what I thought as well!

ah! time for me!

Hello everyone! How are you all today? Now I know things got a little heated yesterday, but I really thought that Captain Bill and Cyril looked quite good. The rest of us had put a great deal of effort into making that disguise and Captain Bill could have tried to be a bit more supportive. As next week's going to be very hectic I thought I would just have a little 'me' time today. The Hotel has a nice formal garden area with statues and things, it's all very peaceful. I got Annie down by the way. There's a bit of tree still stuck to her but it'll soon come off. Well do have wonderful weekends. Are you going anywhere? Hugs to you all! Norma

'Together' Major new work from top Cow poet.

TOGETHER The Sun is setting fast now The Summer's almost gone The leaves have started turning They seem to beckon Autumn on And so I've been thinking In the time that we've got left Don't you and I deserve Just a little happiness Why shouldn't we be walking Together side by side Why shouldn't we be talking Of what we feel inside Why shouldn't we be sharing Why don't we just confess That together we deserve Just a little happiness I often think when I am on my own That this house alone can never be my home So why shouldn't we be staring Into each others eyes Why shouldn't we be wearing The smiles we try to hide Why shouldn't we just give in And accept that two is best Then together we could have Just a little happiness Thank you Horace

more tidying up!

Morning all, Captain Bill here! Just doing my bit for the big clean up. Now this news may surprise some of you, but let me make it clear that even a 1st rate Captain shouldn't be afraid of getting involved with the more run of the mill tasks. Being able to turn a hoof to anything is what it's all about and a tidy pile of leaves is sure to impress the junior ranks! It's a little known fact that I actually took broom studies when at Captain school. It was that or navigation and any fool can tell Port from Starboliarboliboard! Apart from that there's little to report...although I seem to have mislaid my compass! But I'm sure it'll turn up! Take care and enjoy your day! Captain Bill

busy sweeping up!

Morning everybody! Welcome back! Well I have to say that we've all been extra busy over the last few days. As you can see I've been sweeping up some of the fallen leaves and Annie has allowed me to borrow Geraldine, so she has been helping by dusting a few of them. Annie herself has been working on a new idea and there'll be more about that on Monday. All I can say now is that if it works this sweeping could all be a thing of the past! Bertha is doing some work on the library and the lads are generally clearing up although this is a very good time of year for Horace, what with it being so miserable, so he may stop to write some poetry. I do hope that you all had a good week! Look forward to hearing about everything that you've been up to. Take care! Norma
