Finally! Biscuits!

'I can see the shrimps!' Annie called out. 'Wonderful!' Cyril replied. 'Have they got any choccie biccies perchance?' Annie briefly dipped her head back under the water before resurfacing again. 'Dark chocolate or dark chocolate or dark chocolate?' she asked. 'Hmm,' Cyril said and he thought for a moment, 'dark chocolate if they have them?' And for a second time Annie went back below the waves before reemerging carrying an extra large tin of dark chocolate biscuits. 'Shrimptastic!' Cyril mooed. Annie danced back up to the beach and gave the tin to Cyril. 'Are the fluffies here yet?' she enquired. Cyril took a moment to look off down the beach. 'No,' he replied, 'not yet.' 'Is there time for a nap?' Annie asked. And Cyril said he thought there was so Annie had a nap and Cyril amused himself by nibbling a few of the chocolate biscuits...and then a few more....and then all of...

Pancakes For Everyone?

'I thought we'd start with pancakes,' Cyril explained, 'and then move on to pancakes, followed by pancakes.' 'Cor!' Annie mooed. 'Unless you'd prefer pancakes?' Cyril asked. Annie thought about this for a long time.....and eventually fell asleep. When she woke up there were pancakes. 'Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh!' she said in surprise. There was also a handy grass syrup paddling pool. So, Cyril made pancakes and Annie dunked them and Geraldine very helpfully topped up the syrup. 'Might I enquire,' Norma asked, because her head had arrived via a porthole, 'if some of those will make their way to the rest of us?' Cyril put down the pancake that he was about to eat to assure Norma that there was absolutely no doubt that that had all along been their intention. 'Our only reason for making them,' he added, before eating the pancake. 'Hmm,' Norma replied. Cyril put down the pancake he was...

How to hold a meeting

'I wasn't!' said Captain Bill. 'WAS!' replied Bertha. 'Perhaps if we could move on?' suggested Norma. 'He was!' continued Bertha. 'Wasn't!' replied Captain Bill. Please!' pleaded Norma. Bertha and Captain Bill glowered at each other. 'Queen Phoebe's crown?' said Norma. 'We have promised to get it back.' 'OK!' agreed Bertha. 'Fine!' said Captain Bill. 'Soooooooooo,' smiled Norma, 'the question facing us is how do we track down a flock of utterly ruthless pirate sheep? Any thoughts?' Horace waved his pencil to attract Norma's attention. 'Yes?' asked Norma. 'Actually I've already started on an idea.' 'Wonderful!' mooed Norma. 'What is it?' Horace held up a piece of paper. 'It's a poem!' he said. '.....................Erm!........Well done!' replied Norma. 'I thought if I wrote a poem ...

When the sea was cold

'Brrrrr,' mooed Norma, 'I'm not going to stay in here very long, I've completely lost contact with my hooves.' 'Is that them over there?' asked Annie and she pointed with her tail at something in the distance. 'I don't think so,' replied Norma, 'but I'm not sure I'd know if they were. The water's far too cold to be aware of very much at all.' 'That would explain why the shrimps are still wearing hats and coats,' said Annie. 'I suppose it would,' replied Norma. 'You would have thought they'd have got a few fires installed by now,' said Annie. 'Might be a bit difficult,' replied Norma, 'what with them being underwater.' 'I think I'd quite like to live underwater,' said Annie, 'then you could have a drink whenever you wanted to.' 'It would be an advantage,' replied Norma. 'Perhaps I should talk to Geraldine about it?' said Annie. 'Perhaps you ...

Relaxing at last!

Hello everyone! I'm down here at the beach and the sun is out and I'm just soaking my hooves for a while. Cyril told me where Captain Bill is. Cyril can be kind like that sometimes, when he wants to be. I just wish he could be a bit more...consistent! Anyway it does as least mean that I can relax a bit. I know I'm a silly old thing for worrying all the time but I just like to think that there's no real reason why we shouldn't all be happy. So I'm going to take the weekend off and just have a splash about and nibble some cake. I do hope that you all have a lovely time where you are. See you next week! Norma
