'Really?' asked Norma.

'Mmm,' said Annie, 'and I fed him bits of cake on a stick.'

'Well...,' said Norma,'....that sounds like a nice way to spend an afternoon.'

'It was,' replied Annie, 'in fact I'd say, so far, it's been a pretty exciting start to the year.'

'Indeed,' said Norma, 'what with new hoof mittens and a new helter skelter record you seem to be off to a real flier!'

Annie nodded.

'If it keeps going on like this I might well explode before the summer.'

'Best avoided if at all possible,' suggested Norma.

'Perhaps,' agreed Annie, 'in which case it would seem to be a good idea to shelve my plans to have 2 Januarys in a row.'

'I think it would be sensible,' replied Norma.

'Which means it will be Februauauaury next,' said Annie.

'Yes,' replied Norma, 'and you can take it from me...nothing exciting ever happens in February!'
