Not what you expected

Hello....bet you didn't expect this!

It's me, your author aka The Great Pencil in the Sky.

What am I doing here? Where are the Cows?

Well now, as some of you will know, I've been writing about my little chums for quite a while now. Six blogs a week, each blog with it's own illustration. Last autumn I passed the 1,000 blog mark and I've had the most wonderful time in doing all of this.

But the fact is it all takes time, about a day week, and truth be told I need a break and I'm afraid it's going to be rather a long one. I'm sorry to just be cutting it off, mid story, it wasn't my original intention it's just turned out that way. Let me assure you that both the Cows and me are fine, Annie is doing the washing up as I type this (there's water everywhere) and the rest are having their 5th breakfast. Will we all return at some future point? I think so, maybe towards the end of the year but I make no promises.

So thank you for reading, I hope we've entertained and if you're out somewhere and from the corner of your eye you catch a glimpse of six small bovines looking rather lost, do please stop and have a chat with them, they're really rather a friendly herd.

For now, take care, keep safe, eat cake, drink tea and giggle....giggle a lot, it's what life is all about.

I'm sorry, because I love this herd ... and the sheep too. Looking forward to see them again soon.

All the best to you The Great Pencil in the Sky

Dear Mr Great Pencil in the Sky,
You and your chums have kept me laughing and crying my was through 6 mornings out of 7 for a very long time now. I have lapped up the outpourings of your obviously tortured mind and am not at all embarrassed to say that I count your bovines and ovises (no H intended)as my very real friends. I will miss them all.
Take care,
good luck and thank you for them all.
P.S.
I am intrigued to see that the comfy dressing gown appears to be hiding an alter ego. "Verrry interesting" as Wolfgang would say!
