'Extras wanted! Could you be the film star of tomorrow?' Bertha was reading from the leaflet that Norma was holding in her mouth. 'Apply today and change your life!'
'The mest mit is mext,' Norma mumbled.
'Free costumes, including hats,' Bertha read out.
'Mell?' Norma asked.
'Hmm?' Bertha replied.
Norma's tail drifted around to the front of the flyer until it was underlining the words 'including hats'.
'That,' Bertha responded, 'is nothing short of blatant manipulation.'
Norma looked as innocent as she could manage, which was VERY innocent indeed.
'That's still not innocent enough to fool me,' Bertha said.
Norma put the leaflet down and gave a long sigh.
'Stop it!' Bertha exclaimed.
Norma stopped it.
There was silence.
'Hats!' Norma whispered.
Bertha looked at Norma. Norma looked at Bertha.
'I'm sure it would be fun,' Norma added.
'.............................................................................................Where and when?' Bertha asked.
'It's on the back of the leaflet,' Norma replied. 'King Otto's Island! So, we'll get to catch up with everyone and it's not until two weeks from now so we've time to get there and we've not been anywhere for such a long time and...'
'Enough!' Bertha mooed. '................................I'll go and get the Pickled Heifer ready.'
Norma smiled quite the biggest smile.
'And I'll talk to everyone else,' she added.
So, Bertha herded down toward the harbour while Norma went to find the others.
